Global Chief Executive Officer & Chairman of Colliers and Founder & Chairman of FirstService Corporation to be honoured at Toronto ceremony

TORONTO, CANADA, December 20, 2023 – Jay S. Hennick, Global Chief Executive Officer & Chairman of Colliers and Founder & Chairman of FirstService Corporation, has been selected as a 2024 inductee to the Canadian Business Hall of Fame.
From humble beginnings, Hennick has persevered to become one of Canada's great international business leaders. Born in Toronto, Hennick’s early years instilled a robust entrepreneurial spirit and strong sense of ambition. At age 17, he founded his first business, which grew rapidly over the years.
Hennick received a law degree from the University of Ottawa and worked in corporate law for more than a decade before establishing FirstService Corporation, a North American leader in essential outsourced property services. In 2015, FirstService separated into two independent public companies and Hennick became the CEO & Chairman of Colliers, a leading diversified professional services and investment management company with 19,000 professionals and operations in 66 countries. He, along with his wife Barbara Hennick, are deeply involved in philanthropic work, donating to causes focused on education, health care and the arts primarily in Canada.
The Canadian Business Hall of Fame was established in 1979 and honours and celebrates the achievements and contributions of Canada’s business leaders for their vision and leadership, national and global economic impact, community engagement and philanthropy. Each year, individuals are nominated by their peers and are chosen by an independent selection committee representing Canada’s foremost private sector, academic and media institutions.
Hennick will be formally inducted at the 2024 Canadian Business Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony and Celebration at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre on May 23, 2024.
